I have an addiction…and it’s mascara. I try to avoid spending
too much on makeup, but alas, I cannot with mascara. I think long lashes always
look good… even with minimal makeup. Every day I wear the same thing: under-eye concealer, bronzer, blush and
MASCARA—so I think it’s perfectly normal to spend a little extra on basics
[this is my reasoning, you know YOLO]. I
have gone thru a lot of brands—Dior, Givenchy, Shiseido, Benefit, YSL… blah
blah blah. They are generally good, but haven't done it for me. I need a
lightweight formula that curls, lengthens, doesn’t smudge and comes off
relatively easily (I have lots of needs]. My go-to for the last couple of years
has been my Fiberwig
[post to come]. It’s perfect for day…
for night…for yoga…for channel surfing. But I digress. I recently received a
small sample of Laura
Mercier’s Full Blown Volume Lash Building mascara, and I have to say… I
like it! It is not the fiber formula I tend to stick with, but it’s versatile
and what I’m looking for. I haven’t yet reached
Twiggy-status… but I’m happy for now!
